This subsidiary, predominantly owned by SHI (99%) with a minor stake held by Sumitomo Heavy Industries (Europe) B.V. (1%), is dedicated to bolstering the SHI Group’s consolidated strength and presence in the Indian market.
The Indian market is one of the potential destination for Sumitomo Heavy Industries Group’s core businesses. Our key presence includes Sumi-Cyclo Drive India Private Limited in Pune, specializing in the Mechatronics segment with comprehensive sales, assembly, and after-sales services for gear reducers. Additionally, SHI Plastics Machinery (India) Private Ltd. in Gurgaon excels in the Industrial Machinery segment, offering top-notch sales and after-sales services for plastic injection molding machines.
Purpose
The SHI Group formulated its purpose, which defines the company’s reason for existence, in January 2024.
