The opening ceremony was held on November 14, 2024, to celebrate the establishment of Sumitomo Heavy Industries (India) Pvt. Ltd. (SHI India), the head office function in India. Those who had cooperated in the incorporation of the company attended the ceremony. President and CEO (Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. (SHI)) Mr. Shimomura, Executive Vice President (SHI) Mr. Tanaka, Executive Vice President (SHI) Mr. Shaun Dean, and other related personnel from SHI also participated in the event to express their gratitude to all those in attendance and to provide an update on the prospects of the company. SHI India completed its corporate registration in July 2024 and is now starting full-scale activity. SHI India will be engaging in the activities to expand business possibilities in India, in close cooperation with SHI and its each business division.
